Understanding Sexual Assault and Harassment

Recognizing the realities of sexual misconduct is crucial. Contrary to common myths, sexual assault is never the survivor's fault, and it can happen to anyone, regardless of gender or background. Understanding accurate definitions and dispelling misconceptions empowers our community to foster a culture of respect and support.

Common Reactions to Trauma

Deciding to report an incident is a personal choice. At USAFA, you have options:

Restricted Reporting:

Confidentially disclose the assault to specified individuals without triggering an official investigation.

Unrestricted Reporting:

Initiate an official investigation by reporting through standard channels.

Understanding these options allows you to choose the path that best suits your needs.
